Dr Sloane is an attorney, bishop, broadcaster, educator, and pastoral counsellor. Formerly Democratic Chief Counsel and Compliance & Ethics Director of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, he now serves as presiding bishop of the Southern Episcopal Church of the USA, board chair of the American College of Counselors, president of the Council on Chiropractic Practice, and president of the Society for the Cure of Souls. He was ordained an Anglican priest in 1997 and was consecrated to the episcopate 2008.

A Scottish-American, he is a member of the Maryland and Pennsylvania bars, a Pennsylvania licensed real estate instructor, a lieutenant colonel and wing legal officer in Civil Air Patrol [the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary], a lieutenant-colonel in the 3rd Earl Kitchener’s Own Scottish & Borders Legion of Frontiersmen Yeomanry Volunteers, and Deputy Political Advisor for Legal Affairs to the Parlamento Mondiale per la Sicurezza e la Pace.

Dr Sloane graduated from York College of Pennsylvania [BA], Atlantic University [MA in Transpersonal Studies], Liberty University [MAR magna cum laude], Air University [Diploma, Squadron Officer School], Universidad San Juan de la Cruz [MBA summa cum laude], Alliance International University [DBA summa cum laude in Leadership and Management], Charisma University [EdD in Higher Education], London Metropolitan University [Certificate in English Law with Distinction], Widener University [JD], Temple University [LLM (Labor)], and American Christian College and Seminary [PhD in Religion magna cum laude].

He is a Scholar of the Oxford Society of Scholars, Oxford Graduate School, and has taught part-time at Atlantic University, Charisma University, Elizabethtown College, McCann School of Business and Technology, Millersville University, Mount Saint Mary’s University, Saint Francis University, Shippensburg University, Temple University, Widener University, and Wilson College. For his charitable and humanitarian endeavours he has been ennobled by the Crown Council of Ethiopia as the Count of Shoa, Viscount of Hararghe, and Baron of Sidamo.

Dr Sloane is a Diplomate and past chair of the American Board of Forensic Counselors; Life Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute; Master Therapist® of the American Psychotherapy Association; advisory board member of Integrative Outcome Measurements Wellness; Diplomate of the College of Mind-Body Medicine (AAIM); Certified Master Chaplain (ABCMC); Board Certified Professional Counselor (ABPC); Certified Addictionologist (ACACD); Board Certified in Clinical Supervision (ACC); Applied Psychoanalysis Professional (SMP); and a member of the Association of Caribbean Higher Education Administrators, the International Scientific College of the International Academy of Sciences San Marino, the Mansfield Law Club, Mensa, Phi Alpha Delta, and the Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
