Dr. Lohmiller  is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Illinois. Dr. Lohmiller has been in the field of rehabilitation and addiction counseling for the past seventeen years serving many different populations. She has been employed as a psychotherapist at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital’s Behavioral Health Program in Chicago, Illinois for the last fifteen years. Dr. Lohmiller is also an independent psychotherapist with Terry Hefter Associates, LLC. She is an Assistant Professor at the Chicago School for Professional Psychology. Professor Lohmiller presents and teaches in the areas of behavioral health, primary in the area of addictions. She has been a visiting professor with International University for Graduate Studies for the past six years.

Dr. Lohmiller’s career is emerging into a more administrative and academic roles. She has a passion for continuing with direct services to consumers to foster healing for people who struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues. Dr. Lohmiller’s does work with deaf and hard of hearing. She is fluent in American Sign Language.
